Habari Gani? (What’s the news?)

Kwanzaa-4.jpgToday is the first day of Kwanzaa. Each day the greeting is Habari Gani? The person you greet responds with one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa. Today is Umoja which means unity. Umoja is a Swahili term, means to strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race. Go to this website for more information: http://www.officialkwanzaawebsite.org/index.shtml

Yesterday I was privileged to share ways to work toward unity with a 19-year-old young man who is hungry for truth about our history and desirous of helping our people.

A friend told me he upholds the principle of Umoja by being true to himself as the orignal man, the cream of the crop on this planet by modeling Umoja in all that he does.

Happy Kwanzaa

How do you or plan to uphold the principle of Umoja?

In peace and love,

Dr. Free
