Your Calling and Purpose

Image result for calling and purposeThe idea of having a calling and purpose for life has increasingly become an accepted and popular idea over the past decades. More and more as people awaken in their individual lives they understand that there is something I am supposed to do. There is a specific path and an assignment for my life.

This morning I heard an encouraging statement that gave me confirmation and great peace because it resonated with me so.  It was said that every life has a calling with hellos and good-byes!

Too often we think we are called to accomplish one goal or complete one task. However, my experience has shown me that my “calling and purpose” changes as I change and evolve.

One of the main challenges that I have faced is that the people closest to me have not wanted me to change nor conduct myself differently. In fact, some of the people closest to me have seen the change in my life, on MY path, as a failure because it did not meet their expectations.

I have learned that my opinion about my life is what matters most. As  I grow and evolve I desire to please and love myself more. My opinion of myself is the priority.  With this mindset, I am always winning. Welcome the change. Resistance causes self-inflicted harm.

It is through your exposure to life experiences that your expansion is born. And once expansion is born within you, you only feel good when moving in the direction of your expansion. That’s why holding yourself in opposition to your own expansion feels so bad.
