Be Mindful Today

Mindfulness is very simple. It means you become intentionally aware of the present moment while paying close attention to your feelings, thoughts, and sensations of the body. You pay attention on purpose and consciously direct your awareness to whatever you are doing or thinking. Washing dishes. Talking to your spouse. Playing with your kids. Working on a project. Doing nothing. But mindfulness involves one further step— the practice of non-judgment.

Non-judgment is the key to experiencing the deeper benefits of a daily mindfulness practice. It requires that you observe your actions, thoughts, and feelings from a distance, without labeling them as good or bad, right or wrong.

Authentic thoughts are thoughts that are genuine and sincerely expressed. Authentic thoughts reverberate with other authentic individuals so they have an irresistible urge to ponder or respectfully respond from their own unique perspective.
